About The Position

This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted levels, depending on education, years of experience and depth of expertise. The Project Development engineer completes technical work and directs others in technical work in the planning, evaluation, budgeting, design, procurement, development and construction of company projects; including generation additions and upgrades, electric vehicle infrastructure, energy storage, decommissioning, environmental, communications, facilities, asset acquisitions, new technology reviews, and other projects as assigned. The engineer evaluates and performs due diligence on potential investments, acquisitions, research on new and proven equipment and other business evaluations. The engineer will assist in the preparation and administration of contracts, permit applications, environmental filings and financial and regulatory filings. This position develops and maintains reports, project schedules and plans, and develops and tracks project financials, invoicing and development and construction status of projects.
