This position may also be responsible for completing higher-skill maintenance projects as assigned by management. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Extensive hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to independently complete complex maintenance tasks and high-skill repair projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple building systems.
  • Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize maintenance requests.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests submitted through the hotel work order system.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs for building systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues involving building systems and equipment.
  • Complete assigned high-skill level maintenance projects as directed by the Chief Engineer or management team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
  • Assist leadership with larger repair projects, equipment replacements, and property improvement initiatives when needed.
  • Maintain hotel equipment, tools, and engineering workspaces in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Conduct regular property walks to identify safety concerns, maintenance needs, or potential hazards.
  • Assist with maintaining the historic integrity of the property when performing repairs or maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, operational procedures, and applicable local building codes.
  • Assist with emergency repairs or maintenance issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and equipment maintenance.
