About The Position

Located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, our hotel blends high-energy style with top-tier service, and we’re looking for an Engineer I to help keep the show running flawlessly behind the scenes.

As an Engineer I, you’ll be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel. Whether it's fixing a leaky faucet, replacing light fixtures, or assisting with larger maintenance projects, you’ll be a key player in ensuring every guest experience stays polished and uninterrupted.

Requirements

• Have 1+ year of maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel or commercial building
• Are well-versed in general maintenance tools, techniques, and equipment
• Take pride in your work and never cut corners — safety and quality are your priorities
• Stay calm under pressure and can handle multiple tasks with a service-first attitude
• Are flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Are proactive, reliable, and ready to learn and grow

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and equipment servicing as needed
• Complete daily rounds and respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in mechanical areas and engineering workspaces
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues efficiently and professionally
• Ensure all work meets brand standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
