By joining our Division of Structural Design as a Engineer-I-Training II in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to design highway structures in accordance with KYTC requirements as well as in accordance with the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.

Requirements

• Graduate of a college or university with an accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Must have two years of engineering experience as an Engineer-In-Training.
• Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
• Certification as an Engineer-In-Training recognized by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Design bridges, culverts, retaining walls.
• Detail structures in accordance with design.
• Check designs of other Engineers
