This is a Direct Hire with onsite requirements at Shadeland RCS. Scope: The Intermediate Engineer on the Virtual Desktop Platform team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise VDI solutions serving more than 25,000 endpoints and 18,000 concurrent Horizon sessions across a large healthcare environment. This role contributes to platform stability, performance optimization, and secure authentication workflows, including badge tap access, thin client integrations, and endpoint standardization. The engineer partners closely with Senior Engineers, Architects, Operations, Cybersecurity, Networking, and Application teams to troubleshoot complex issues, implement platform enhancements, and support large scale initiatives such as OS migrations, image lifecycle management, and authentication modernization. Responsibilities include automation of repeatable engineering tasks, maintaining technical documentation, participating in change management processes, and supporting after hours escalations as needed. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance customer impact with technical design considerations. The Intermediate Engineer is expected to demonstrate increasing ownership of platform components while continuing to build technical depth and cross functional influence within the enterprise.
