About The Position

The Materials Engineer working in a R&D/Pilot production facility is typically responsible for supporting the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of process equipment and systems while assisting in production optimization and documentation tasks. Conduct research on the properties and characteristics of materials Develop new materials that meet the requirements of specific applications Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration Communicate results of tests and analyses to team members and management Collaborate with engineers and scientists to research and develop new materials Ensure compliance with safety guidelines in all work areas Investigate or test specific physical properties of materials, such as strength, hardness, and heat or cold resistance, to determine suitability for specific products or applications. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in materials science, engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Some hands-on experience (internships or coursework) in manufacturing or process engineering is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment or tools sourcing
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and other applications
  • Proficient with computer modeling software
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively
