Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Engineering Aide in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will: Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Assist engineers in collaboration with subsystem, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products. Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. Perform software engineering to include design, development, and software/hardware integration.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks. Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in using Zuken schematic/cabling drafting tool (or similar) and Creo 3D modeling tool (or similar) centered in model-based engineering.
  • Collate with subsystems, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuit design principles, including analog and digital circuits.
  • Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
