Provides engineering support for functions, including new product introduction, process improvements, cost reduction activities, manufacturing capability improvements and efficiency improvements. Responds to andons and zone control directions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or above in a technical field.
  • Training in CAD/CAM software.
  • 1 - 5 years Manufacturing experience.
  • 18 years of age of older.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • ProE / Creo4 Training in CAD/CAM software.
  • Working understanding of manufacturing specific processes (grind, hard turn, superfinish, heat treat), as well as ability to learn other engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using, and intermediate skill level in, MS Office software applications (Excel, Word).
  • Demonstrated aptitude in mathematical, mechanical, and analytical applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal mediums and project work documents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop process drawings and CNC programs using CAD/CAM package.
  • Develop and maintain process design standards.
  • Create and maintain tooling drawings.
  • Create and set-up tooling materials in engineering systems.
  • Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives involving abrasives, tooling, set-up parameters/engineered cycles.
  • Level I problem solving (as applicable to process solutions and suspect material disposition).
  • Andon response and Zone Control/A3 support including report outs and documentation.
  • Dimensional and visual inspection.
  • Support engineering project activities.
