Then we’d like to meet you and bet you’d like to meet us. Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Co-op student or Intern to join our ISP Chemicals LLC business at our Columbus, OH location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Manufacturing function. This position will report to the Manager of Plant Engineering.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Good communication and computer skills
• Good work ethic and ability to follow rules and work safely
• The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Desire to work in a chemical plant

Nice To Haves

• Prior AutoCAD or other CAD experience is preferred
• Prior plant experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Support the plant PSM (Process Safety Management) efforts
• Work with plant mechanics to understand the equipment used in production.
• make recommendations for improvement as needed
• Update drawings for new equipment
• Work on small projects including specifying new equipment and obtaining cost estimates
