Apply knowledge of chemical engineering to direct and manage equipment and process roll-outs for a heavy industrial manufacturing project focused on rare earth permanent magnets. Ensure the successful installation, testing, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and systems. Responsible for guaranteeing the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our production processes. Develop comprehensive construction and commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for the installation and startup of rare earth permanent magnet manufacturing equipment. Collaborate with the project team to oversee the installation of machinery, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards. Develop and conduct test plans and performance evaluations on individual equipment components and integrated systems to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions or operational discrepancies, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner. Ensure all construction and commissioning activities meet safety regulations and MP EHS policies, while promoting a strong safety culture among team members and subcontractors. Maintain accurate construction and documentation (test results, manuals, as-built drawings, and reports). Train operations and maintenance teams on proper equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with technology, supply chain, process engineering, and operations teams to coordinate activities and resolve cross-functional issues. Position requires periodic, intermittent travel up to 10% to various worksites within the United States. Position also requires 1-2 evening shifts per week and 1-2 weekend days per month
