Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of CAD drafting experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in preparing detailed engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update 2D/3D drawings for weldments, assemblies, and individual components.
  • Revise manufacturing drawings based on engineering changes, fit‑up challenges, and field feedback.
  • Maintain accurate drawings and revision control within the document management system.
  • Process and support Engineering Change Requests/Orders (ECR/ECO) by updating prints and all related documentation.
  • Provide drawing clarifications and technical support to welders, fabricators, and shop personnel.
  • Adjust drawings to reflect real‑world conditions, including fixturing requirements and actual fit‑up.
  • Support custom, prototype, and low‑volume builds where standard drawings may not fully apply.
  • Create or revise weldment guides, work instructions, and supporting shop‑floor documentation.
  • Work with Supply Chain to correct part numbers, update BOMs, and resolve drawing vs. material discrepancies.
  • Partner with Quality to support as‑built documentation, nonconformance reports, and rework instructions.
  • Provide assistance to Service/Aftermarket teams by updating or recreating drawings for legacy or custom-built units.
