About The Position

We are seeking a motivated engineering student to join our design team as a Co‑op in Piping & Instrumentation (P&ID) Drafting. The role provides hands‑on experience with the creation, revision, and management of P&IDs and wiring diagrams using industry‑standard CAD tools. The successful candidate will learn to interpret existing piping networks, produce “as‑built” documentation, and support engineering change processes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited CAD or Engineering program
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (or equivalent)
• Introductory exposure to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar; willingness to learn Plant‑specific tools
• Basic understanding of fluid flow, instrumentation, and electrical concepts (coursework acceptable).
• Clear written and verbal skills for documenting findings and interacting with engineers.
• Ability to follow site safety protocols
• Strong analytical mindset – can interpret field data and translate it into schematic form.
• Attention to detail – accurate symbol placement and revision tracking are critical.
• Proactive learner – self‑directed study of standards and willingness to ask questions.
• Team player – comfortable collaborating with engineers, drafters, and construction personnel.
• Time‑management – ability to juggle coursework with co‑op responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Prior exposure to P&ID symbols
• Experience with Microsoft Office/SharePoint
