About The Position

This position supports the efforts of the Engineering department by writing and compiling code bases for custom controllers for use in electromechanical machinery for front-end and back-end environments. The position also supports the Engineering department by developing GUI’s (Graphical User Interfaces) and programs for PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • An Electrical Engineering degree is preferred, though students pursuing an Applied Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering will also be considered.
  • Experience with programming custom controllers and working in a lab environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the writing of front-end and back-end code for custom controllers under guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assists the senior engineer testing of code releases in equipment in R&D lab environment
  • Assists with providing technical input to troubleshoot issues with fielded machines
  • Assists with the revision of code to correct operating deficiencies
  • Maintains revision control of code releases
  • Assists senior engineer with updating PLC programming, HMI programming, and Drives documentation.
