Internship Overview We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and production optimization. This internship is an excellent opportunity to apply engineering principles in a real-world manufacturing setting and contribute to efficiency and quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must at least be a Sophomore level to be considered
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with different teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support the design and implementation of production layouts, tools, and workstations.
  • Conduct time studies and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues and developing solutions.
  • Work on automation and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance processes, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assist with documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance departments.
