This role leads the strategy and execution for modernizing core infrastructure and platform capabilities in a high-growth, multi-product environment. The Engineering Manager will oversee a team responsible for building secure, scalable systems, improving developer experience, and enabling AI-driven productivity. You will shape the technical vision, implement shared platform services, and drive engineering practices that enhance reliability, performance, and operational excellence. This position requires balancing long-term architectural planning with pragmatic delivery, managing cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring engineers to maximize impact. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and is motivated by solving complex infrastructure challenges that serve millions of users.

Requirements

  • 2+ years managing infrastructure or platform engineering teams, with demonstrated ability to scale systems and people.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building, maintaining, and scaling cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable).
  • Deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Sentry), and shared platform services.
  • Proven ability to design modular, service-oriented architectures, ideally in organizations transitioning from monolithic systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-grade security, governance, and compliance considerations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, architectural judgment, and communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to engineers and executives alike.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to foster professional growth.
  • Own the roadmap for infrastructure reliability, developer experience, and AI enablement, making strategic decisions on building, buying, or retiring systems.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain scalable platform services, including authentication, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and shared APIs, ensuring consistent reliability across products.
  • Drive the adoption of AI-native tools to accelerate development productivity, testing, debugging, and operational workflows.
  • Establish technical standards, production readiness practices, and a culture of platform thinking across multiple product teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define long-term architecture and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
