About The Position

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing software engineering team within a fast-growing, innovative SaaS environment. You will guide your team through both greenfield projects and enhancements to existing platforms, driving solutions that deliver measurable customer impact. As a technical leader, you will influence architecture, development processes, and engineering best practices while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. This position requires balancing hands-on technical contribution with mentoring and coaching responsibilities, ensuring the team grows in capability and cohesion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with strategic business objectives, delivering high-quality software in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a management or team lead role.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Angular, PostgreSQL, and familiarity with Git and GraphQL; knowledge of other databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or MSSQL is a plus.
  • Experience leveraging AI coding tools to improve development velocity and code quality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a track record of building and motivating teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions, problem-solve, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • familiarity with Google Cloud, data pipeline technologies, ETL processes, and fast-paced software startup environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering professional growth and a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and metrics, providing ongoing feedback to ensure team success and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and senior technical leadership to define project scopes, technical solutions, and development priorities.
  • Guide architecture decisions, technology stack selection, and adoption of best practices, promoting code quality and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement strategies to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Encourage innovation, knowledge sharing, and experimentation within the engineering team.
  • Promote an inclusive and diverse work culture that values different perspectives and experiences.
