About The Position

Engineering Multi-Skill Manager - Air Dominance Training Devices Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Training Engineering (GTE) team in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a talented Hardware Design Manager (K) to lead the Air Dominance training portfolio. (F-15, F-22, T-7) This team is responsible for the design and development of aircrew & maintenance training devices. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Boeing’s design practices, with expertise in prototyping and design for manufacturing. They will possess a strong technical background, enabling them to provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Their experience in Design and Production Engineering will ensure the successful translation of simulator designs into high-quality, scalable products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams
  • Experience developing and managing large-scale project plans through the full project life cycle
  • Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
  • Experience working with Siemens NX & Capital Logic
  • Experience developing requirements and performing requirements decomposition

Nice To Haves

  • Systems familiarity with CMPro (ERP) and GOLDesp (MRP)
  • Experience supporting aircrew or maintenance training devices
  • Passion for the aerospace industry and leading technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations for a multi-disciplined hardware design team (mechanical & electrical)
  • Accountable for schedule, cost, and quality management across multiple programs
  • Efficiently allocate resources for stable execution of work scope
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manage, mentor, and develop individual design engineering contributors
