The Engineering Learning and Development organization is looking for an Engineering Onboarding & Intern Program Deployment Specialist for our Engineering New Hire Onboarding & Internship Program. This role involves facilitating and planning all elements of the onboarding and intern programs for new engineering hires through their first year. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating scheduled content sessions and in-person activities, collaborating with Engineering Directorates, aligning with existing Raytheon New Hire Orientation and other engineering programs, planning within the allotted budget, and regularly evaluating the program's effectiveness to ensure it meets business needs. This onsite role will be based out of Tewksbury, MA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with collaboration tools (MS Applications, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Experience with event planning or speaker facilitation.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Bring your energy and enthusiasm to lead and enhance our new hire onboarding program, fostering an engaging and impactful experience for our incoming talent.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new engineering hires and interns, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Lead and moderate virtual, hybrid and in-person sessions and events.
  • Manage, organize and schedule content sessions and in-person activities for new hires & interns.
  • Partner with Engineering Directorates and other departments to ensure a cohesive onboarding experience.
  • Work with existing Raytheon New Hire Orientation programs, Innovation Foundry and other engineering-specific programs to integrate onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate & execute logistics to deliver virtual, hybrid and in-person events and activities.
  • Work within the budget allocated for the onboarding & intern programs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Continuously evaluate the onboarding & intern program's effectiveness and implement necessary adjustments to deliver top-tier activities that align with business priorities.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to new hires throughout their onboarding or internship period.
  • Maintain accurate records for onboarding activities, expenditures, and timely expense reports.
  • Collect programmatic feedback and report on outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to the onboarding process to maximize program impact.
  • Execute tasks autonomously with little oversight.
  • Collaborate on the development of plans to adapt the onboarding and intern programs to address changing business needs, ensuring they scale effectively with the organization's growth and evolving demands.
  • Travel up to 20% within the U.S or as needed.
