About The Position

Working under direct frequent supervision, this position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and assisting engineers with documentation, process and general engineering related support activities. Must demonstrate the ability to support several engineers, providing a wide variety of administrative and computer skills to assist engineering projects. Assignments typically include word processing, data entry and preliminary document preparation, utilizing computing resources. Performs non-technical project duties. Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills. Apply basic skills in the execution of existing procedures. Influence is limited to those on direct team. This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must be U.S. Person - Job requires access to ITAR or 600/500-series EAR information or hardware (directly or indirectly) and the company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
  • Must possess minimum of 2 years of relevant experience PC tool knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tools support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, change management and tracking tools. Generate reports as required.
  • Operate within a Scaled Agile Framework environment and perform related duties to enable the team to work efficiently.
  • Support in preparation of presentations. Assists in development of engineering web pages.
  • Support in tracking action items.
  • Build productive working relationships internally. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
  • Support ordering and shipping of program materials.
  • Edit format of software / hardware documentation based on direction from peer group and engineering. May verify change requests are in proper state.
  • Support engineering in tracking action items, and tasks in the change management tools.
  • Perform project non-technical duties using standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Coordinate across teams to solve basic problems.
  • Develop soft skills.
