Engineering Project Manager Date 3/9/2026 Job Purpose/Overview The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for the charter/development, design, and execution of capital projects. The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects that are strategically aligned to the business strategy with technical know-how in food manufacturing. This role will be an active member of the local Operations teams as well as local and regional Engineering networks – and support Associate technical development across the organization.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering required
  • 2-5 years of relevant engineering, manufacturing or supply chain experience (food industry)
  • Project management experience (EWP or similar)
  • Proven analytical capability
  • Strong communication, listening and influencing skills
  • Approximately 10% travel required depending on project demands

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in related roles (Industrial Engineering, Operations and/or Supply Chain) preferred
  • LEAN / Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader preferred

Responsibilities

  • Capital and process management
  • Charter and develop projects for approval up to $2M, including governance documentation (ESA, CRF/MPAR, EWP) with aligned business objectives and critical success factors
  • Partner with local and regional technical teams to ensure high quality work, value engineering, and sharing of best practices across the Petcare enterprise
  • Execute approved projects including scope/budget/schedule tracking, stakeholder communication, and contractor management
  • Support project management for capital projects and relevant CVS protocols
  • Follow all safety and quality system requirements as defined in relevant policies – including risk assessments for non-routine work
  • Supply network design
  • Provide feedback for new portfolio innovation and renovation projects, including screening technical solutions to support business strategy
  • Contribute pipeline ideas for infrastructure and efficiency projects - including capability improvements
  • Support site master planning workstreams based on business strategy and role of the site (2+ years)
  • Leadership and technical development
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and co-create capital masterplan within network design
  • Work cross functionally with local project teams, local/regional stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Perform effective risk management to identify and minimize/mitigate potential issues
  • Provide technical coaching support to local/regional teams to ensure robust ways-of-working
  • Continuously improve technical capabilities for self & Associates through internal/external sources
  • Support integration of systems and tools with Mars Petcare ecosystem for capital management
