This internship offers a variety of opportunities that can vary from basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, and developing products and equipment.   As the Engineering Lab Intern, you will assist the Research and Development Engineering team in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and new product development. This internship provides hands-on experience with engineering work, testing, analysis, and development of equipment in a laboratory/manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering field
  • Candidates must have completed their second year of engineering studies
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • High problem-solving skills and self-direction
  • Company will not provide sponsorship for position. Must be eligible to work in US

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with technical drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude for machines and tools
  • Technical hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to engineering team in the execution of the technical activities for assigned projects such as:
  • Add thermocouples to the individual test stations for the cooling tower PLC Source and install heat procedures
  • Labeling lab components and updating procedures to reflect labeled components
  • Assist with mock-up preparation, process testing, and equipment qualification activities
  • Learn to use and operate test and measurement equipment for mechanical and/or electronic systems used in product testing
  • Improve lab workspace organization, safety, and efficiency
  • Lead or contribute to additional projects as assigned or proposed based on your interests and initiative ead other projects as assigned or proposed by you
