About The Position

Are you a jack of all trades, if so, our Engineering Supervisor role will allow you to lead and train engineering and landscape team members in all technical and non-technical areas. This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems, including all H.V.A.C & R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive repairs. Assume responsibilities of the Area Director of Engineering, and Chief Engineer in their absence. Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations Follow established safety procedures Log and communicate all essential information in the Engineering logs Duties include emergency on-call status

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment
  • Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools
  • Ability to take action and make decisions whenever necessary, as directed by the Area Director of Engineering, in conjunction with owner/owner’s representative
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions on the assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as well as follow directions on warning labels
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record

Nice To Haves

  • Technical School certification, preferred.
