Working with our innovative Engineering Maintenance team, you'll help bring medicines to the world even faster by imagining what’s possible and taking action. What You Will Achieve Working with Pfizer’s dynamic Engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in the stability of the Site manufacturing automated equipment, information network systems, and computer system validation efforts to improve manufacturing success rates ensuring zero down time and compliance to external regulation. How You Will Achieve It As an Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a small team of technical experts of various expertise in engineering support and maintenance to assure that manufacturing, lab equipment, computer systems, instrumentation, utilities and facilities are maintained with GxP principles, regulatory requirements, and Pfizer policies and standards. This role will be accountable for maintaining good operational status of the manufacturing equipment, preventative maintenance tasks, project work, assigned CAPA’s, work orders, validation support, SOP’s, and other tasks needed to support the assigned area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience or a master's degree with more than 0 years of experience or an associate's degree with 6 years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires routine sitting, standing, walking, listening and talking
  • Acute mental and visual attention at all times
  • Handle multiple projects while managing frequent interruptions
  • Requires moderate lifting or moving up to 25 pounds (lbs)
  • Requires regular onsite attendance
  • Must have the ability to work effectively under strict deadlines
  • Must be able and willing to work beyond office hours which may include weekends and holidays
  • Must be capable of supporting up to 10% travel (domestic and international)
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of technical experts of various expertise in Engineering Maintenance
  • Provide direction and support to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure team alignment with departmental, Site, and global initiatives/goals.
  • Practice and foster an environment of safety and safe ways of working.
  • Establish governance and contributor accountability for timely project/activity completion.
  • Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams.
  • Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work, ensure all the equipment and facilities work safely, efficiently and reliably.
  • Support, review, and approve the generation of standard operating procedures, preventative maintenance, and system support documentation for the area of assigned responsibility.
  • Support activities for capital and non-capital projects.
  • Technical resource for engineering shops to assist in troubleshooting and resource management.
  • Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers.
  • Partner with day shift Managers to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Monitor issues to identify and develop preventative solutions
  • Inspire colleagues to embrace change and motivate them to continuously improve, keeping up with evolving internal and external policies.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with Site leadership, Site colleagues, and Pfizer Global groups necessary to drive and implementneeded system changes and improvements.
  • Promote growth and develop plans to support individual development.
