Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Must possess the ability to read, write and perform basic math
  • Must be comfortable communicating with the public
  • Must be comfortable performing basic computer functions
  • Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
  • This position may require long term standing and repetitive motions.
  • Must have the ability to use your hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit.
  • Must have the ability to see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus.
  • The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds; occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).

Nice To Haves

  • Construction-related training or technical training desirable
  • Certifications in Concrete and Soil preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing
  • Complete and submit daily reports and Job Hazard Analysis forms
  • Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
  • Familiar with applicable plans and specifications
  • Notify supervisor or Project Manager immediately of problems and deviations from plans and specifications
  • Frequent exposure to clients
  • May occasionally make limited recommendations in the field
  • May have limited responsibility for training or direction of other entry-level technicians
  • Maintain a driving record free of specific violations
  • May perform field work within other company disciplines
  • May schedule client meetings and/or additional services
  • May occasionally attend job site related meetings
  • May occasionally perform routine testing in the lab
  • Strive to make each project profitable
