About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a high-energy, dedicated English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher with a passion for providing specialized instruction in an underserved community to join a premier charter network for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year to make a lasting impact with a direct path to a permanent career! Position Overview: Plan a program of study and unit/weekly/daily lessons that, aligned with the school’s curriculum and that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with best practices, specific content knowledge, and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved Implement, by instruction and action, the region’s philosophy of education, the KIPP Memphis curriculum, and instructional goals and objectives Utilize diagnostic assessment tools to identify learning strengths and needs of every student, on a regular basis, for the purpose of intervention and/or acceleration toward academic and leadership standards

Requirements

• TN License/Certificate with area endorsement Required
• Bachelor’s degree-Required

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience- Preferred
• Experience in urban or charter schools- Preferred
