About The Position
Bishop Ireton High School is seeking a full-time English teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at our campus in Alexandria, Virginia. Candidates should be able to teach a literature-based curriculum with a strong emphasis on developing writing and research skills. Candidates will: demonstrate professionalism in a collaborative environment. have strong communication skills. possess a bachelor's degree in English; master's degree preferred. possess or be willing to obtain a Virginia teaching license or VCEA license possess required citizenship, residency or work visa promote the Catholic mission of the school TO APPLY: Interested candidates should submit a detailed cover letter with three professional references, current resume, and written personal philosophy of education in a Catholic school environment to personnel@bishopireton.org and should complete an application with the Diocese of Arlington's Office of Catholic Schools at http://www.arlingtondiocese.org/Catholic-Schools/Careers/Application/ .
