About The Position

The enrollment counselor is pivotal in assisting prospective students in applying and providing comprehensive guidance regarding program inquiries. Additionally, they assist enrolled students awaiting assignment to a Mentor, addressing any queries or concerns they may have. Important: This is a paid remote student-employee. Incumbents must live in Utah or Idaho, be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and be attending a Church Education System school (BYU-Pathway Worldwide, Ensign College, BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii) during their time as a student employee with BYU-Pathway Worldwide. Students work a consistent 20-hour-a-week schedule between Monday–Saturday between the hours of 7:00am to 10:00pm MST. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent or current enrollment in PathwayConnect
  • Current CES Student at one of the following institutions: BYU-Pathway Worldwide Ensign College BYU - Idaho Brigham Young University BYU-Hawaii (Living in Utah or Idaho)
  • Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must currently be enrolled at Ensign College
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication abilities.
  • Ability to empathize and effectively address the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing relevant software and systems to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Guide prospective students through the application process, ensuring clarity and accuracy at every stage.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to inquiries from prospective and enrolled students regarding program details, admissions requirements, and related matters.
  • Provide personalized support to enrolled students awaiting Mentor assignments, offering assistance and reassurance throughout the interim period.
  • Provide detailed documentation of interactions with students.
  • Utilize the Knowledge Base when providing information, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Specialize in delivering timely and valuable assistance to students, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Handle complex situations with domestic students, demonstrating empathy, patience, and expertise in navigating various scenarios.
  • Collaborate effectively with leaders to optimize the enrollment process and enhance the student experience.
