Job Summary The Sr. Enterprise Architect serves as a trusted architecture leader responsible for owning and executing Enterprise Architecture requests and providing architectural direction across initiatives, programs, and portfolios. This role partners closely with business and IT leaders to translate enterprise strategy into scalable, secure, and cost effective technology solutions. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture & Application Development, this position manages day to day Enterprise Architecture demand, solution direction, and architectural governance while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, roadmaps, and long term strategy. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, business acumen, and the ability to influence to drive consistent architectural outcomes, reduce technical debt, and improve alignment between business strategy and technology execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Technical Architecture roles.
  • Proven experience operating in large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated success influencing architectural outcomes across multiple teams and domains.
  • Strong understanding of application and integration architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS preferred).
  • Knowledge of data architecture, analytics platforms, and security and identity principles.
  • Practical experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or SAFe.
  • Ability to create current‑state and target‑state architectures, transition roadmaps, and reference architectures.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Pragmatic, outcome-driven mindset - knows when to enforce standards and when to enable flexibility.
  • Collaborative, confident, and comfortable operating with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Enterprise Architecture lead for Enterprise Architecture Requests (EAR), triaging, prioritizing, and delivering architectural guidance across initiatives.
  • Lead architecture assessments, solution designs, and target-state definitions for major programs and projects.
  • Translate enterprise and business strategy into reference architectures, architectural patterns, capability maps, and technology roadmaps.
  • Provide end‑to‑end architectural guidance across applications, integrations, data, cloud/infrastructure, and security domains.
  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, and IT teams to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions.
  • Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and guardrails.
  • Lead or participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARB), design forums, and governance processes; document architectural decisions, trade‑offs, and decision records.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate architectural risks, technical debt, and non‑standard implementations.
  • Evaluate vendor products and third‑party solutions; provide architecture recommendations and comparative trade-off analysis.
  • Drive technology rationalization initiatives to reduce redundancy, improve reuse, and optimize cost and complexity.
  • Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, data, and platform teams to ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements including performance, availability, scalability, compliance, and security.
  • Guide delivery teams during implementation to ensure architectural intent is maintained through execution.
  • Balance speed‑to‑market with architectural integrity and long-term sustainability.
  • Influence stakeholders across business and IT domains without direct authority to achieve architectural alignment.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate architecture artifacts such as diagrams, roadmaps, patterns, and governance documentation.
  • Mentor solution architects, domain architects, and technical leads on enterprise architecture standards, practices, and design principles.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Enterprise
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
