About The Position

The Enterprise IT Manager is responsible for managing PMAT’s internal information technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations. You will oversee enterprise networks, hardware and software systems, IT asset lifecycle management, vendor partnerships, policy enforcement, and risk management. This is a true first-level management role with full authority over staffing, performance, and day-to-day IT operations. You will develop and execute PMAT’s internal IT roadmap, ensure alignment with organizational goals, manage IT budgets, and ensure that systems, networks, and cloud services operate securely and efficiently. This role requires hands-on technical credibility combined with strategic planning and operational leadership.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT operations or infrastructure management.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or direct management experience.
  • Experience managing team members who manage enterprise infrastructure (in house and remote workforce)
  • Experience with IT asset lifecycle management (procurement, tracking, onboarding, recovery).
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT vendors, ISPs, CSPs, and SaaS providers.
  • Experience developing and enforcing IT policies including BYOD, DLP, and access controls.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise security controls, risk management, and audit readiness.
  • Experience developing COOP plans, incident reporting procedures, and operational continuity documentation.
  • Budget management and resource allocation experience.
  • Strong documentation discipline and enterprise architecture visibility.
  • Experience supporting secure environments with classified or sensitive systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a DoD or GovCon environment.
  • Familiarity with NIST frameworks (800-53, 800-171).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience leading internal IT modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a small business environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Obtain CISSP within 6-12 months

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise IT operations including LAN/WAN, wireless, remote access, and hybrid/cloud environments.
  • Own IT Asset Management (ITAM), including procurement, lifecycle tracking, onboarding, recovery, and disposal.
  • Manage enterprise vendor relationships including ISPs, CSPs, SaaS providers, hardware vendors, and application licensing.
  • Develop, enforce, and maintain IT policies including BYOD, digital loss prevention (DLP), remote access, and enterprise trust architecture.
  • Implement and monitor enterprise security controls, audit trails, documentation standards, and compliance readiness practices.
  • Develop and maintain continuity plans (COOP), incident reporting procedures, and IT risk management frameworks.
  • Oversee enterprise documentation including system architecture diagrams, standards, procedures, and audit artifacts.
  • Manage departmental budget, resource allocation, and IT project lifecycles from planning through execution.
  • Provide technical leadership, staffing oversight, performance evaluations, training, and personnel management.
  • Support internal audits and ensure traceability of systems, controls, and operational processes.
