About The Position

Christian Brothers Services (CBS) is a nonprofit organization providing health, retirement, risk, and consulting solutions to Catholic organizations nationwide. With more than 250 employees, CBS delivers mission-driven services through strong financial stewardship and operational excellence. We are seeking a detail-oriented intern to support the Billing & Eligibility team within the Enterprise Operations - Health Division. This summer internship provides hands-on experience in supporting health billing processes, enrollment verification, and data quality initiatives related to health benefit programs. This is a structured, paid summer internship designed to provide meaningful work experience and direct mentorship. Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate within a team environment
  • Student applicants must have completed their sophomore year of college prior to the start of the internship (i.e. you must be an incoming college Junior or Senior)

Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile weekly reports identifying discrepancies between operational databases
  • Verify enrollment and termination records to ensure accurate member eligibility
  • Run queries and analyze results to confirm updates are processed correctly and billing records remain accurate
  • Assist with billing verification to ensure member groups are billed appropriately
  • Support data entry related to enrollments, eligibility records, and documentation (including Medicare card records)
  • Assist supervisors with operational projects and process improvement initiatives
