Enterprise Product Lead

TandemNew York, NY

About The Position

As a Strategic Product Manager on our team, you will be a technical generalist working on our highest impact investments or most pressing problems. You will own complex product and commercial problems end-to-end, both developing solutions for internal challenges and delivering results for Fortune 100 customers. While you will work closely with our Engineering team on high-priority projects, this is not a typical product management role. In some cases you will lead cross-functional projects, in others you will need to individually flex across engineering, operations, and sales to deliver. This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Tandem's success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a product management, software engineering, or forward deployed role on a team that required outcome ownership (e.g., fast-growing startup, a 0 -> 1 business line at a high-performing organization)
  • Strong technical background (a degree in computer science is ideal; at minimum the role requires the ability to do data analytics using SQL or Python)
  • Experience with problem solving in a context that required accounting for both technical and operational challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationships
  • Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals
  • High NPS with your former teammates

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in both Tandem’s full surface area and the surrounding industry landscapes
  • Deeply understand the strategy, goals, and needs of our customers and users
  • Design and build solutions, tools, and products to address new problems that arise as we grow, both as an individual contributor and as a project leader
  • Co-own relationships with strategic customers, supporting implementation, presenting on performance and new capabilities, and ensuring overall success
  • Explore, evaluate, and execute on new opportunities for the company, including strategic partnerships and new products and services
  • Work closely with the rest of our team and CEO to make business decisions as we balance speed of growth and long-term profitability
  • Help steer the growth of our Product and Engineering teams

Benefits

  • Fully covered medical, vision, and dental insurance.
  • Memberships for One Medical, Talkspace, Teladoc, and Kindbody.
  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO) and 16 weeks of parental leave.
  • 401K plan setup, FSA option, commuter benefits, and DashPass.
  • Lunch at the office every day and Dinner at the office after 7 pm.
