About The Position

Maven is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Architect to design and evolve the internal technology landscape that supports our rapidly scaling, distributed organization. In this role, you will be the technical authority responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and well-integrated enterprise systems—including identity and access management, device and endpoint ecosystems, collaboration platforms, IT service management, and core business applications. You will work closely with Enterprise Technology, Engineering, Security, Data, People, and Finance teams to translate business needs into clean, maintainable architectures that improve operational efficiency, strengthen our security posture, and deliver a seamless employee experience. This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on deep systems expertise, architectural rigor, and driving standardization across Maven’s internal platforms.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in enterprise systems engineering, architecture, or infrastructure roles within SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments.
  • Expertise across IAM, MDM/endpoint management, SaaS ecosystems, collaboration tools, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms and integrations including IAM (Okta), CRM (Salesforce), Finance (Netsuite), HR (ADP, Greenhouse), service support (Zendesk), and management/collaboration (Atlassian).
  • Strong architecture fundamentals, including system design, data flows, API integrations, and security controls.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions in cloud-native environments.
  • Proficiency with modern automation technologies and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, workflow automation platforms).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive architectural decisions, influence stakeholders, and ensure alignment across multiple teams.
  • This role requires active work authorization in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end architecture for Maven’s enterprise systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and strong security fundamentals across all platforms.
  • Partner with Security to design and maintain robust IAM, device compliance, and access governance architectures.
  • Develop technical standards, reference architectures, and design patterns that guide the implementation of internal tools and integrations.
  • Evaluate new enterprise technologies, conduct technical assessments, and recommend solutions that align with long-term infrastructure and operational goals.
  • Architect and oversee integrations between SaaS applications, internal systems, and data platforms, ensuring reliability and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with Product, IT, and Engineering teams to define technical requirements, validate solution designs, and support high-quality delivery.
  • Lead deep-dive analyses to identify root causes of system inefficiencies, and propose scalable solutions to eliminate manual workflows or technical debt.
  • Implement automation frameworks to improve provisioning, configuration management, lifecycle management, and endpoint operations.
  • Maintain architectural documentation including system diagrams, data flow models, configuration standards, and API specifications.
  • Support incident response and troubleshooting efforts as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues across enterprise systems.
  • Manage project lifecycles from discovery to implementation, ensuring deliverables are met
