Requirements

Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
Regular field work and overnight travel (up to 25%). (required)
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (preferred)
Prior research experience focusing on remediation technologies, water or wastewater treatment, or sustainability. (preferred)
2 years of related experience or prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and the ability to become professionally licensed within five years of employment. (preferred)
Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, WaterGEMS, or InfoWater. (preferred)

Responsibilities

Fieldwork such as soil, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance;
Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
Engineering and data analysis and calculations, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
Remediation engineering consisting of remedy evaluations, cost estimating, design, and implementation;
Water and wastewater treatment design for industrial facilities;
Computer modeling related to hydraulic analysis;
Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
