From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. Step into Your New Role As an entry-level Geologist, you will work on environmental assessment and remediation projects, geotechnical engineering projects, and work in our soils and materials laboratory, using your knowledge and professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals and objectives and learn to solve problems of diverse scope. This position is available in Irving, Texas

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or related engineering degree
  • 0-2 years’ experience in the environmental field working on a large complex environmental assessment / remediation site or other related field work.
  • Ability to work on various task depending on skill sets
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Office experience related to scheduling, lab coordination, data evaluation, technical report writing, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).

Nice To Haves

  • Soil and rock classification/characterization
  • Field soil and rock logging experience
  • Knowledge of TCEQ regulations and guidance documents.
  • Knowledge of RCRA & CERCLA regulations and HAZMAT assessments.
  • GIS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a variety of field assignments including, groundwater sampling, soil sampling and laboratory testing.
  • Perform field oversight of subcontractors once trained.
  • Prepare technical reports and evaluate site data to progress projects toward regulatory closure.
  • Establish strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with senior-level staff.
  • Participate in Kleinfelder’s safety culture.
