About The Position

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for an entry-level part-time technician to work in our Geotechnical Laboratory as a Laboratory Technician testing soil/rock (geotechnical), aggregate and other construction materials to ASTM and AASHTO standards. This position is located in Mays Landing, NJ.

Requirements

Training and certification will be provided.
Work hours will be 16 to 30 hours per week between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM most business days.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Nice To Haves

NJSAT, ACI, NICET certifications are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform testing procedures in the laboratory accurately and in accordance with standards and specifications.
Become proficient in soil and rock classification systems.
Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients both verbally and in writing.
Work independently with supervision.
Work Environment may require regular exposure to bending, twisting, moderate to loud noise conditions and lifting weights of up to 75 lbs.
Some weekend and overtime work may be required.
