About The Position

Entry Level Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Department: Compounding VPI Compounding Pharmacy is seeking an Entry-Level Pharmacy Technician – Compounding to join our team in Centennial, Colorado. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and interested in building a career in pharmacy. No prior compounding experience is required. If you do not currently hold a Pharmacy Technician License, you must be willing to obtain an active Colorado Provisional Pharmacy Technician License upon hire. VPI will guide you through the process and reimburse eligible licensing costs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must meet all cleanroom hygiene, gowning, and entry requirements.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a cleanroom environment while wearing full PPE.
  • Must have an active Colorado Pharmacy Technician License or an active Provisional Pharmacy Technician License. If you are not currently licensed, you must be willing to obtain a Provisional License upon hire, we’ll guide you through the process and reimburse!

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lab or pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required!
  • Individuals with sterile and nonsterile experience are also encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare compounded medications that meet the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Perform sterile filtration processes in accordance with USP guidelines.
  • Assist with filtration tasks, ensuring proper technique, documentation, and adherence to aseptic procedures to maintain product sterility and patient safety.
  • Measure, mix, and handle ingredients using specialized equipment in a sterile environment.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and follow aseptic procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Support the team in daily compounding operations and learn new skills every day!
