About The Position

STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Intern to join our team. This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside our experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. This hybrid position requires at least 3 days a week in the office. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience drafting with MicroStation.
  • Experience modeling with REVIT
  • Experience mapping with ArcGIS.
  • Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to prepare engineering design documents, such as vapor mitigation, in-situ remediation, storm water control, and potable water purification systems.
  • Assist the environmental team with construction-period services, including reviewing contractor submittals, conducting field reconnaissance, and performing site inspections.
  • Provide on-site verification and inspection during or after remedial construction-related activities to assess progress and conformance.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess potable water systems, including water disinfections and lead testing.
  • Support project managers in preparing, reviewing, and modifying planning documents, due diligence reports, investigation/assessment reports, feasibility studies, remedial designs, and engineering cost estimates.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data, including air and water quality samples, soil samples, and biodiversity assessments.
  • Assist in researching and interpreting environmental regulations, policies, and guidelines to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Participate in fieldwork activities, such as site inspections, habitat restoration projects, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals and team objectives.
