Environmental Project Manager / Estimator
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager / Estimator in Bohemia, NY to lead environmental services, sitework, and remediation projects from initial estimating through successful project completion. This full-time role combines cost estimating, project oversight, and field coordination to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and fully compliant with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in environmental services and sitework, supporting a growing pipeline of projects in Bohemia and the surrounding region.
Requirements
- Proven experience in environmental services, remediation, sitework, or related project management.
- Knowledge of all phases of environmental remediation, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor management.
- Familiarity with NYSDEC Spill Program, New York Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP), and NYC OER E Designation processes.
- Strong estimating, budgeting, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills with clients and regulatory authorities.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards applicable in Bohemia and New York State.
Responsibilities
- Oversee environmental, sitework, and remediation projects in Bohemia from bid award through project closeout.
- Prepare detailed estimates, scopes, and proposals for a variety of environmental services.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to maintain smooth operations.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and change orders while maintaining thorough documentation.
- Serve as primary contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure projects meet scope and timeline expectations.
- Implement cost control measures and optimize project workflows for efficiency and compliance.
- Mentor and support junior staff as needed on Bohemia-based projects.
