Requirements

  • Experience: 1-2 years in due diligence, environmental site assessments and industrial hygiene projects
  • Education: BS in Environmental Science, Geology or related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn technical software
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license, strong safety record, ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive and proactive attitude with willingness to learn and support variety of projects.
  • Physical & Travel: Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions, lift and transport equipment, and travel up to 90% for project support
  • Flexibility to work remote as long as candidate resides in Central Florida area with occasional office visits
  • Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site assessments and reporting in support of environmental due diligence and property condition evaluation programs
  • Serve as field lead for site characterization, remediation, groundwater exploration, and aquifer studies
  • Oversee drilling subcontractors and well construction
  • Collect soil, water, air, building material samples and other environmental samples following established protocols
  • Maintain and calibrate sampling and monitoring equipment
  • Record and manage field data, notes, and photo logs
  • Data evaluation; prepare tables, figures, and time-series graphs
  • Assist with environmental report preparation
  • Participate in occasional emergency response efforts related to petroleum or other releases
  • Learn and contribute to Apex’s safety culture
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines
  • Report safety concerns promptly
