About The Position

Tasman is seeking Environmental Scientists at multiple experience levels (I, II, III) to support remediation, site evaluation, and environmental construction projects. This is a dynamic field-and-office role supporting environmental assessments, groundwater treatment systems, remediation feasibility studies, pilot testing, contractor oversight, regulatory reporting, and cross-functional project execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and on a team

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred
  • Experience in oil & gas industry
  • Environmental remediation experience
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • Experience working with state regulatory agencies

  • GIS or CAD experience
  • Demonstrated leadership capability (Level II/III)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site reconnaissance, sampling (soil, groundwater, air, surface water)
  • Support remediation and drilling permitting efforts
  • Assist with data collection, mapping, and GPS documentation
  • Prepare field notes, summaries, and draft technical reports
  • Oversee subcontractors as assigned
  • Support health & safety activities in the field
  • Cross-train technicians and assist team members
  • Lead and supervise on-site activities
  • Conduct remediation feasibility studies and pilot testing
  • Develop initial Conceptual Site Models (CSMs)
  • Perform data review and analysis
  • Prepare work plans, corrective action plans, and regulatory reports
  • Oversee third-party contractors
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Support remediation system design and aquifer characterization
  • Lead cross-functional project teams
  • Execute complex assignments with minimal oversight
  • Support development of remediation strategies and system designs
  • Contribute to feasibility studies and treatment system planning
  • Coordinate equipment mobilization and permitting
  • Provide independent technical judgment
  • Solve complex environmental challenges across multiple stakeholders
  • Mentor staff and contribute to performance feedback
  • Review and evaluate recommendations proposed by others
  • Apply innovative, practical, and economical solutions
  • Conduct site inspections and environmental sampling
  • Collect, review, and analyze field and lab data
  • Prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation
  • Oversee contractors and remediation activities
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards
  • Manage deadlines and project priorities
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and technical staff
  • Follow PPE and health & safety protocols at all times
