About The Position

Sodexo, in partnership with our premier central Texas partner UT Health San Antonio, has an exciting opportunity to join our team! Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/ Custodial Operations Manager 2 in the San Antonio, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a brand new 144-bed facility within the UT system. The new UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital will forge a future in which no patient will ever have to leave San Antonio to receive the most advanced care. This is generally a 2nd-shift position, however as an operations manager leading within this hospital you should be flexible to support other shifts as needed. Ideally the candidate of choice will have Healthcare and/or Environmental Services-based experience and knowledge. Understanding that patients, clients and staff, while possessing the ability to remain flexible is a strong skillset within the team-minded workplace we operate.

Requirements

  • have experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system
  • possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management
  • a results and safety driven mindset
  • 3-5 years previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience., in a hospital, healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • proficiency with computers and other technology
  • flexibility to work a second shift position (2:00pm to 11:00pm) with occasional weekends and holidays
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 yearsMinimum Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services

Nice To Haves

  • have experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred
  • the ability to speak Spanish is not required, but would assist in leading this workforce

Responsibilities

  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
  • effectively manages the Unit Operating System
  • support a diverse and inclusive workforce
