Job Summary: Location: Methodist Fremont Health Hospital Address: 450 E 23rd St. - Fremont, NE Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 3pm to 11:30pm with every third weekend This person is responsible for taking direction typically from a Director, Manager, or Coordinator and relaying the information to staff. Relays information back to their immediate Coordinator. May identify problem areas and make recommendations to their Coordinator. May assist their Coordinator with staff scheduling, general operations, work coverage, specialized equipment maintenance, etc. Is not responsible for employee evaluations, discipline, hiring or firing of employees but may provide input into these decisions. Is expected to involve their designated Coordinator in the case of any significant problem or issue as well as provide appropriate reporting to their Coordinator on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • One year experience in Healthcare general cleaning related field required.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal communication.
  • Physical Activity Continuously stand, walk, lift, handle and carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs).
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Category 1: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials.
  • Is subject to frequent contact with cleaning and disinfecting chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Certification preferred.
  • Two years technical experience in Methodist Fremont Health (MFH) Environmental Services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as backup to the Department Coordinator to ensure work activities of staff are completed according to departmental standards.
  • Provide training (i.e., 7 Steps Procedure) to ensure understanding of policies and practices.
  • Inspect the work of Service Contractors and employees to ensure compliance of work agreements and MFH value related behavior.
  • Assist developing departmental plans and programs to facilitate information dissemination to staff.
  • Perform the work of staff as needed.
