We’re Hiring an Environmental Services Supervisor: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, occasional evening/ weekends Day shift, typically 9a-5p What You'll Do: Organize, schedule, direct and supervise the Environmental Services Team Members: Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Serve and mentor others to serve residents with patience and dignity Coordinate and assist with routine maintenance, upkeep and repairs on all dwellings, grounds, systems, equipment and facilities Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment for compliance with safety regulations Manage inventory, supplies and equipment for maintenance, housekeeping and laundry departments Maintain the cleanliness, organization and safe layout of facility, maintenance barn, utility rooms and storage areas. Exercise grace and love interacting with fellow staff, residents, their families and visitors What We’re Looking For: Minimum 3 years of recent experience in a supervisor role, showing strong leadership abilities and willingness to lead by example Schooling and/or official training in advanced maintenance duties preferred Familiarity with MIOSHA and other safety requirements and practices Preferred 3 years of experience in maintenance for residential and/ or commercial environments Knowledge of record keeping, cost estimating, supplies and equipment used to manage a residential and/ or commercial environment such as boilers, compressors, generators and various mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems Ability to train, coach and motivate direct reports Willingness to learn and use online staff scheduling program Take pride in producing high quality handiwork About Rest Haven Homes Established in 1941, we serve over 100 residents in a warm, faith-rooted community on six peaceful acres in northeast Grand Rapids.
