About The Position

According to established procedures, cleans and services assigned areas. Performs a variety of environmental service duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition. SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION: This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.

Requirements

Speak, read and write English
Must be able to stand, walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and public areas according to hospital infection control standards.
Performs routine and terminal cleaning of patient care areas to help prevent the spread of infection.
Properly uses and stores cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment according to safety guidelines.
Collects and disposes of regular and medical waste in accordance with hospital and regulatory policies.
Restocks supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitation materials in assigned areas.
Responds to spills, biohazard situations, and other environmental cleaning needs in a timely manner.
Maintains floors through sweeping, mopping, and other routine floor care tasks.
Reports maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment problems to the appropriate department.
Follows infection prevention protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment ( PPE).
Maintains a professional and respectful presence while working in patient care areas.
Other duties as needed/assigned.
