About The Position

The Environmental Services Tech plays a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff at MRHC. This position performs routine and specialized housekeeping duties in patient rooms, waiting areas, offices, and other hospital departments. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure all areas of the hospital are clean, functional, and maintained according to established policies, supporting both patient care and overall hospital operations.

Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and healthcare staff.
• Experience working in healthcare or hospital environments.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, common areas, and specialized medical equipment following established protocols.
• Manage the collection, segregation, and disposal of medical and hazardous waste in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment.
• Demonstrate and apply Infection Control standards at all times.
