One California Job Summary and Responsibilities Housekeeper - Environmental Services St. John's Hospital Camarillo We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment which is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience required, utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures, proper handling/disposal of infectious waste, and proper safety skills in handling housekeeping chemicals
• Acute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffer extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums
• This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas.
• Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
• Collect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste and linens
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
• Respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
• You may operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment.
