Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial, or related experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and adapt to changing routines based on client needs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and software (MS Office Suite).
  • Must have visual ability sufficient to read and complete written correspondence, reports, etc., and computer screen information.
  • Frequent use of hands to grasp, handle, or feel.
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Ability to drive to all Easterseals centers and service sites within a 100-mile radius, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an office or healthcare environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain therapy rooms, client kitchen areas, bathrooms, and other assigned spaces, ensuring infection control and safety by organizing equipment and resources.
  • Bio-hazardous Material Management: Collect, transport, and dispose of bio-hazardous materials following safety protocols.
  • Supply and Inventory Management: Stock and organize cleaning supplies, first aid kits, evaluation, and testing materials. Maintain cleaning schedules and food storage protocol binders. Assist with supply ordering and pick-up.
  • Safety and Compliance: Identify and report safety hazards to the supervisor. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
