Requirements

Elementary school level acceptable, high school equivalency preferred

Responsibilities

Keeping the facility in a sanitary, odorless and pleasant condition for residents/patients and staff
Sweep, damp mop and vacuum floors
Must be able to lift furniture, such as tables and chairs for special assignments
Receive and understand verbal and written assignments in order to carry out tasks successfully
Must be able to work in all areas of the facility
Pick up trash, diapers and soiled linen, deposit in the proper receptacles
Pick-up and prepare infectious waste for pick-up by outside company
Deliver packages and articles when required
Wash walls and windows inside and out
Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing. Ability to operate floor care equipment.
Follow proper line of communication according to chain of command. Exercise good judgment when accomplishing tasks where resident/patient or employees may be involved
Ensure the residents/patients right to privacy
