This role requires a mix of technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and hands-on work in the field. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of environmental projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This full-time opportunity offers adventure and stability. The pay starts at $25/hr and goes up based on experience and skills. We also offer full benefits, PTO, and 401k.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous fieldwork, construction, or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, managing your own schedule and workload effectively.
  • Experience recording data accurately and communicating findings clearly to the team.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems with a willingness to learn field repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate machinery such as skid steers and trailers.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks in variable weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing job site requirements.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.

  • Some positions require travel and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and manage daily schedules, determining site visits and necessary preparation.
  • Accurately collect, document, and input environmental field data into Microsoft Office applications.
  • Conduct groundwater and soil sampling with precise methodology.
  • Operate and maintain field equipment, including digital and mechanical meters.
  • Utilize construction tools and light machinery, including skid steers and trailers.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with site preparation, including setting up and removing temporary structures and tools.
  • Work in environments that may contain dust, fumes, wet/dry chemicals, or uncontrolled conditions.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership to ensure project success.
  • Perform daily site clean-up to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
