About You and this Role We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Delivery Tech in Texas Operations. Coordinates, implements, executes tasks and maintains a proactive Plant specific program to achieve Plant Environmental goals and objectives within the scope of this role. Jointly accountable to the Production Leader and the EH&S Delivery Leader. Site specific work processes. To increase individual awareness and accountability for environmental requirements, by providing a Plant Subject Matter Resource to coach plant personnel on environmental responsibilities, goals and the effective application of Environmental Work Processes. Assists plant in maintaining the license to operate.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of all Environmental Work Process and tools, working knowledge of plant /department operations and processes, and excellent communication skills.
  • Aware of all regulatory, permit, and company requirements in areas of responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of Cause-and-effect process and E&A Tool
  • Can perform Identify Risks role.
  • Good people and communication skills.
  • Must be able to understand the business / site EH&S strategy and related performance data.
  • Knows and able to apply their client's MOC process.
  • Good computer skills to work with all EHS WP and tools.
  • Can apply Safety Standards, Policies and Tools including; Waste Characterization Waste Handling and Disposal Specific plant Air and Title V permits Plant RCRA permit (if applicable) Apollo Root Cause training Incident Management Tool Plantware (EHS Essentials) Specific plant regulatory requirements (as applicable) such as HON, MON, MACT EEE, NESHAP benzene, NESHAP vinyl chloride, NSPS, etc. MOC.
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a current, valid US Driver’s License.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
  • Communication: Coaches and communicates environmental requirements and expectations across the plant.
  • Problem Solving: Investigates environmental issues and supports corrective actions.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analyzes environmental data and reports information for compliance.
  • Prioritization: Balances environmental tasks and compliance deadlines based on risk.
  • Environment Health and Safety: Applies environmental standards, permits, and EH&S work processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the implementation of a detailed, task level, day-to-day Environmental program, utilizing the EH&S work process, standards and procedures.
  • Initiates requests for change to the EH&S Delivery Leader to improve the best knowledge and experiences. (work processes, operating discipline, LER, Best practice, existing practices, gaps to standards)
  • Ensures that the environmental aspects of Operating Discipline are adequate and applied to achieve environmental performance goals.
  • Acts as the Plant resource for related environmental information on procedures, guidelines and standards. Plant contact for environmental issues.
  • Coaches teams and individuals on environmental related tasks and activities.
  • Assists in developing and achieving area or plant environmental goals.
  • Ensures Environmental Compliance tasks are completed.
  • Performs the routine environmental monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for assigned plant.
  • Collect data for emission event reporting for upsets.
  • As required, participates in environmental related reviews and projects.
  • As required, conducts and documents investigations of environmental incidents and ensures follow-up actions to prevent recurrences that are addressed.
  • Provides data for TCEQ requirements/responses upon request and guidance of the environmental specialist.
  • Gather data required for development of environmental permits.
  • Collect, input and calculate Environmental reporting information.
  • Accountable to ensure environmental trigger events are placed into the E&AT.
  • Initiates and supports MOC for Environmental matters as necessary.
  • ODMS 6.07 Focal Point
  • Completes 100% CTT tasks assigned to Environmental Tech on time.
